| It's two tracks, not just one, as per the NME article. |

Wow two tracks!!! Even better
Well well well.. I don't want to get too optimistic, but who knows, they might feel like playing it sometimes.. I don't really believe they want to take it further, but now these two songs just makes everything that was "out of question" into "kind of possible".. _________________ And into the sea goes pretty England and me |

More news from BBC:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/news/20100409_blur.shtml
"Blur went into the studio a couple of weeks ago."
"It's so close to the wire - it's literally two weeks from being recorded to turnaround to being in shops. I've no idea how they're going to get into shops. But we're confident that they will."
"They obviously think the track is good enough to release, which is exciting in itself, especially as nobody had any inking that they'd gone back into the studio."

The song that is not new is/was an unreleased track? _________________ go on girl go on, give us something gruesome, we require your grief, the thugs help the thieves

I can't wait to hear it.. I hope we'll be able to buy it on mp3 format at least (I'm not taking the eurostar just to, maybe, get one of these copies.. I'm just back from the Gorillaz rehearsals, so that's enough! )
I'm wondering what it will sound like? Think tank type? Did Damon took on the eighty tracks he had in stock for Plastic Beach because it felt it sounded more "blur".. or is it a Graham/Damon song...
argh.. SO MANY QUESTIONS! _________________ And into the sea goes pretty England and me |

To be honest, I'm not that interested in fighting(?) over the vinyl... We will all hear it on the release day, and that's the most important thing. The days of the physical format are over (yeah, a good excuse! ). |

^ Exactly. As for what it will sound, it's hard to guess... Maybe something like "On Melancholy Hill" or "Broken"? Remember, Graham liked the Monkey score and he was planning to come up with a futuristic sounding album:

Parhaps that's a hint? |

More news:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/news/20100413_blur.shtml
"Parlophone Records president Miles Leonard told 6 Music it was “an absolutely wonderful summer tune”.
“I think it encapsulates all the sum of the parts of that band,” he said. “They sound as competent and as strong as they’ve ever sounded before."

I also read that he said that "Graham's guitar is simple, Alex's bass grooves, and Damon's lyrics are as pointless as ever"
Didn't sound like a ringing endorsement to me, but given how crap EMI has been to Blur over the years, I trust Blur! _________________ Blur Live Audio Archive Project: www.blurliveaudioarchiveproject.blogspot.com
